Alan Ellman -

Squarable, founder

Founded by digital pathfinder Alan Ellman, Squarable, a multi-disciplinary business development company, is built on a flexible post-agency model where everything that promotes growth in the digital marketplace is within our scope and agility is key.

High tech product development, project-based team building, new media strategy, content production and financial planning are all part of our multidisciplinary approach.

The evolution of a serial entrepreneur, Al came into his own when he scrapped the security of his Director of Finance position at ABC and founded ScreamingMedia, soon bringing aboard legendary adman Jay Chiat as a partner.Al’s prescient sense of how content management would drive the internet age paid off exponentially. ScreamingMedia was the largest content integrator and syndicator of proprietary content on the internet and merged with CBS Marketwatch in 2002; SCRM sold to News Corp shortly thereafter.

An Ernst and Young entrepreneur of the year finalist in 2001, Al funded the movie SuperSize Me. He also helped start touchmedia.cn, an interactive kiosk that would be displayed in 40,000 cabs, as well as ReturnPath, a worldwide leader in email intelligence.
Al started Emergent Trading Fund in 2004, a hedge fund based on historical high probability intraday patterns that outpaced all hedge fund indexes from 2004 through 2008.In 2009, Al launched Squarable, believing that great creative coupled with smart technology would produce successful e-business ideas.
